This week’s EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event is called CHOOSE YOUR BLADE.

This week’s Event will begin on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29 and run until MONDAY, DECEMBER 3.

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features a choice between one of three reworked Infiltrator Titans:  SEGUNGA, ISHKAR or SARKON.  All three will feature a guaranteed “dual skill” in Slot one with +60% Damage and +60% Resistance to one Element.  They will each have two Titan Offensive Tier II Skills and two Offensive Tier III Skills.

Slot 1:  DUAL SKILL:  +60% Titan Damage and +60% Resistance to one Element

(Fire For SEGUNGA, Poison for ISHKAR, Lightning for SARKON)

Slot 2:  Titan Offensive Skill Tier II

Slot 4:  Titan Offensive Skill Tier III

Slot 5:  Titan Offensive Skill Tier III

A special token used to claim your choice of one of the three Infiltrators listed above is available for 14,000 Souls.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  When can we get some more Avatars for the in-game chat?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  Stay tuned!  Maybe sooner than you think..!  (Note from SteelSpine:  looks like there will be more player icons added to the game very soon).

Q:  Can we get more events like this one, where we can choose our own rewards?

A:  Yes, we plan on doing more Events like this in the future.  We were able to do this Event because of changes we made to the coding of the Altars.  We also have something else that we’ve coded into the game that’s new and has to do with the Altars - but we can’t tell you more about it yet.  It’s really cool, and we’ll be debuting it in the future.

Q:  Would it be possible for you to make a change so Titans that successfully defend a Land (or a Castle) gain XP?

A:  We’ve talked about that in the past, but there are some balancing issues..  maybe it’s time to look at it again, though.  We’ll definitely look into that and see if it’s possible.  We also have some other XP related features coming out soon..  Titan XP is something we really would like to improve on.

Q:  Do Charge Damage and Critical Attacks stack on top of each other?

A:  Yes.  We’ve checked into this, and they definitely stack together.

Q:  What’s up with so many players getting banned of hacking and cheating this week?

A:  We improved our detection systems for finding hackers and cheaters, so this past week has been chock full of bans and suspensions.  If you think you’ve been banned wrongly, you can contact us and we’ll look into it - but unfortunately, if you have been banned it’s probably because you’ve been caught cheating.  ALSO: in the future we plan to make our bans much more strict - a lot more permanent bans.  (NOTE from SteelSpine: The Devs mentioned once again that they ARE NOT banning or suspending people for the widely-known “Resources Glitch”.  If you’ve been banned, it’s cheating related - NOT glitch related).

Q:  What about hackers that just make another account when theirs gets banned?

A:  We’ll ban that one, too.  Also, we’re looking into ways to keep that from happening altogether..

Q:  Can you PLEASE CHANGE Storm Maiden auto-targeting to choose the NEAREST TROOP?  (Note from SteelSpine: really glad somebody asked this!)

A:  That’s a good question actually.  Yeah, we’re definitely looking at making changes to this.  “It seems people like the changes to Archers and Grenadiers - but it’s just these little cheeky ones”..

Q:  Can we get an option to turn on (or turn off) Auto-Targeting?

A:  Yeah, this sounds like a really good idea - we’ll look into this.

Q:  Can we get an Earth Spell?  Something like an “Earthquake”, which slows down enemy Troops?

A:  That’s a really good idea.  If anybody else has any good ideas for a possible new Earth-based Spell, please contact us (the Developers) and share your thoughts!

Q:  Any info on Lightning-Resistance Relics (Rings, etc)?

A:  We added a bunch of new stuff to the drop pool last week..  but we still have to make artwork for the Lightning Rings and some of the other “new” Relics.  I’m sure you’ll see them in upcoming events, and we will certainly add them to the game soon.  “It’s coming”.

Q:  When will you optimize Dawn of Titans for the new iPads?

A:  We don’t get any pre-release stuff, so we just got them ourselves.  If there are optimizations to be done, I’m sure our tech team is looking into it right now.

Q:  Will the existing Ishkars, Segungas and Sarkons that players already have be updated with the new Skills?

A:  No, these new Skills are ONLY for new Titans from this Event.

Q:  Are players getting banned for the Resource Glitch?

A:  Once again, NO, we are NOT banning players for the Resource Glitch - or for any other accidental Glitch, for that matter.  “We ban for HACKS and CHEATS, NOT Glitches”.  That being said, if you are asked to stop using a particular glitch and you refuse to then you MAY be suspended or banned - but that hasn’t happened yet.

Q:  Why is the game so choppy at the moment?

A:  We’re not sure, but it’s happening on our end too.  It’s definitely being looked into.

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

No real “Teasers” this week - although there were some great questions answered (above).  The Devs didn’t want to give away too much about the upcoming week, but they said there’s a lot of cool stuff happening in-game this week for DOT’s Two Year Anniversary.

NEXT WEEK:

Dawn of Titan’s 2 Year Anniversary is coming up.  Festivities will begin on Monday with “something small” (Note from SteelSpine: no further details from the Devs on what it will be - probably Altar related would be my guess).  The Devs said they don’t want to give too much information because they want everything to be a surprise next week, but they said they have a lot planned for the players.

A couple of things that they DID mention:  

MONDAY:  There will be a reduction in Troop Training Times - ALL TROOPS will take 30 seconds to produce.

ALSO (beginning on) MONDAY:  There will also be a +50% TITAN EXPERIENCE boost for PVP battles.  (Note from SteelSpine:  if my math is correct, this means a successful attack vs a Level 25 Land will result in about 450 Titan XP.  That’s a pretty nice little bonus!)

WEDNESDAY:  The weekly LiveStream will happen a day early - on WEDNESDAY instead of THURSDAY - so be sure to tune in (or check the site for my Recap).

ALSO WEDNESDAY:  The weekly “Main Event” will begin on WEDNESDAY - one day earlier than normal.

This week’s main Titan is DIONYSUS.   Dionysus is a 4* Physical Champion.  He has the unique ability to summon OMEGA MILITIA.  Omega Militia deal 5x Charge Damage and have 50% more Troops per unit (resulting in +50% Damage and +50% Health).  At the highest Levels, Dionysus is capable of summoning FIVE Omega Militia.  He also has two Militia X Skills and boosts Archers with +225% Archer Damage and a whopping +44% Archer Critical.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Can you please do something about the bug that effects Hel during battle?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  “We are aware of Hel freezing up and/or not responding to commands..  We are definitely working on trying to figure out and fix the problem, so there should be a fix out for that very soon”.

Q:  Can you tell us more about next month’s Events?

A:  Our Anniversary is coming up, and we’ll be giving you guys some cool stuff for that.  And we have some awesome Events coming up for the Holidays - but we’re not going to tell you any more about that right now.  Let’s keep it a surprise.

Q:  Why are so many people getting banned for the Resource Glitch?

A:  We keep hearing about this..  To our knowledge, we are NOT banning people for this right now.  We understand that it is happening without players actively trying to make it happen, so as far as we know nobody has been banned for the Resource Glitch.  We will check with the other departments here at Dawn of Titans, but I don’t think anything is being done with that right now.  We are trying to fix the problem that causes the Resource Glitch right now so this does not happen anymore, though.

Q:  Any chance on a Relic XP Event (one that is similar to a Fusion Event)?

A:  Umm, not specifically exactly like a Fusion Event, but we have some pretty cool ideas for an Event like that regarding Relics.  Stay tuned for more info on that.

URDRED, the new 4* Ragnar Ranger, is currently available as a possible drop in the Temple’s various Titan Altars.  For anyone who is curious, her Skills are:

Slot 4:  Grenadier X Skill

Slot 5:  Goliath X Skill

NOTE:  The Devs assured the community that Urdred WILL BE FEATURED in a future Event.  This won’t be the only time she is available - so don’t worry about blowing a ton of Gems trying to capture her in the Temple.

The Developers announced a bunch of Relics that had been missing from the game that will be added into the drop pool THIS TUESDAY.  The newly available Relics include:

Storm Maiden “Economy Relic” (the one that reduces the time it takes to produce an individual Storm Maiden Troop)

Lightning Storm “Economy Relic” (reduces the time it takes to produce an individual Lightning Storm Spell)

Lightning Rings

Physical Rings

Earth/Ice/Fire/Poison Rings For Storm Maidens

Earth/Ice/Fire/Poison Rings For Skeletons

Drake Scales (with Physical Resistance)

Drake Scales (with Lightning Resistance)

Frost Shield (with Lightning Resistance)

Holy Guard (with Lightning Resistance)

Kite Shield (with Lightning Resistance)

Mount Armor (with Lightning Resistance)

Runic Tattoo (with Lightning Resistance)

Vambrace (with Lightning Resistance)

ALSO:  ALL of the “common” Defensive Relics (Mount Armor, Kite Shield, Vambrace, etc) Will now have 3* versions of each resistance type.  So there will be a 3* Kite Shield with Poison Res, a 3* Mount Armor with Fire Res, etc.  (Note from SteelSpine:  this is a GREAT change!  It might actually make 3* Defensive Relics worth using at high Levels in certain situations.  Much respect to whoever the YouTuber is who  brought this to the Devs’ attention).

The Devs are asking for Feedback regarding the recent changes to Ranged Troops’ AI.  Do you dislike or like the way Grenadiers automatically move to the next target?  Do you hate or love the way Storm Maidens automatically move to the next enemy?  Send a message to the Devs via email, Facebook, YouTube or in-game.  Let them know what you think, and if you have an idea for how to make the AI better let them know about that, too.

“Some people may have noticed that they have some different things going on for their daily rewards right now.  That’s because we are trying out some new stuff with the Daily Rewards..  if it works out we’ll make an announcement and fully release it to all players”.

NEXT WEEK:

MONDAY:  There will be an Event called “Bountiful Monday or “Bountiful Feast”.  This will be similar to “Black Friday” or “Cyber Monday”.  It will be a Temple Event, and there will be a lot of Relics available in the Temple (for purchase, I think?).  The best part: the Devs will give you a FREE 4* RELIC just for logging in.  Make sure you log in on Monday for the free 4* Relic!  :-)

EARLY NEXT WEEK (either MONDAY or TUESDAY):  There will be an Infiltrators-themed THEATERS OF WAR Event.

Starting on Tuesday there will be a 50% less chance of a battle drop being a Spell or a Troop.  The chance of receiving a dropped item after a battle won’t change, but the chance that it will be a Troop or a Spell (instead of a Titan or a Relic) will be much, much lower.  This will result in more Relic and Titan drops, and less “junk” drops.

Also on Tuesday:  the Relics listed above will be added into the game database (including as possible rewards from a battle).

No details on next week’s regular Thursday-Monday Event, but the Devs did drop a hint by saying that it would be “a different kind of Leaderboard Event”.  Stay tuned for more info next week.

This week’s Event is called Chain Lightning.

This week’s Event began early today (THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15) and will run until MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19.

Titan Details:

This week’s main Titan is ATHENA.  Athena has the unique ability to summon Omega Storm Maidens.  She also has two Spearmen X Skills.

Also available this week is Thorhild, who boosts Storm Maidens with five Offensive Storm Maiden Skills.

Full stats for both of these Titans can be found on dotdatabase.net - I won’t type them up here, since most Players already know about and/or have them.  :-)

Thorhild is available for 11k Souls.

The only new Relic in this Event is the 4* Storm Ring, which boosts Storm Maiden Critical, Storm Maiden Damage and provides three Lightning Storm Spells.  It is available for 18k Souls.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  What do you guys have planned for Christmas?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  We can’t say much about it right now, but “if you think Halloween was big..  pffffft”.  (Note from SteelSpine:  The Devs seem very, very excited about this, whatever it is).

Q:  Any plans to add a new Element to the game?

A:  “uhhhhmmm...  no plans right now, but maybe something like that in the future?”  “No new Elements this year, anyway”.

Q:  “When will Zeus come back” (Note:  looks like someone was trying to catch the Devs off guard with this question)

A:  “uhm, we haven’t - uh, I mean, who’s Zeus?”  (Note from SteelSpine:  seems like the Devs messed up a bit here and somewhat confirmed that Zeus will be coming at some point.  Interesting).

Q:  Anything new coming soon?

A:  Matt is working on a new Event Type right now, which is why he isn’t on the Stream today.  That’s about all I can say about it right now.

Q:  Any chance you could add rewards for Top Alliances Globally, and not just within a League, each Season?

A:  Thats a very interesting idea!  We will look into it and see if it’s possible.

Q:  Any chance we’ll see Poseidon again in another Event?

A:  Yes, there’s a good chance he will return at some point.  “He’s actually not as as strong as we wanted him to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back at some point with some changes made to his Skills”.

Q:  Will we see any Egyptian Gods in the game?

A:  “Maybe.  I dunno.”  *Shrugs*  “I don’t know what you’re talking about”.  *laughs*  (Note from SteelSpine:  Devs were very very cheeky when asked this question.  Definitely seems like they are planning to do an Egyptian Gods series soon).

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

Starting in v1.28, there will be no more Level 1 Titans in the 10,000 Divine Gem Altar.  All Titans will be either Level 20 or Level 30.  (Except Auria and Urkon, who will spawn at either Level 1, Level 20 or Level 30).

Devs still are working on reducing the number of Troops received as battle drops.  Should go live pretty soon.

Devs say they are planning to release “Economy Relics” that reduce the amount of time it takes to create Storm Maidens and Lightning Spells (just like the existing “Warp” and “Levy” Relics that you can equip on your barracks to reduce other Troop and Spell production times).  Should be released in Version 1.29.

Devs also teased that the version being released right now - v1.28 - MAY have coding in it that they will switch on in the future concerning having Ranged Troops (Grenadiers, Archers, Maidens) automatically select the next target.  No other news on this front, but they said they are currently testing it and will decide what to do with it in the near future.

Another teaser:  There will be some “changes made to certain Troops” coming up soon.  No further details, other than whatever Troops are being changed are NOT Archers.  Devs say there will be an in-game announcement when these changes go into effect, fully explaining them.

ANOTHER teaser:  Devs are looking into changing and improving the Season League Rewards.  They say they are definitely going to improve upon them, but aren’t sure exactly what the changes will be yet.  They asked for input from the community - so if you have any ideas, please write to them and give your opinion.

ALSO:  Devs said there is “a LOT” of new stuff coming between now and the end of the year.  They specifically mentioned “some new Titans, and some old fan favorite Titans - maybe with new Skills”.  They also mentioned that the week leading up to their Anniversary (December 8th) will be jam-packed with “stuff”, whatever that means.  Stay tuned on this one...

NEXT WEEK:  

“Lots of things going on next week” starting Monday, according to the Devs.  No further details, but they say to “tune in to the game starting on Monday”.  Apparently there will be something going on on Monday, something else on Tuesday, and something else on Thursday - but they wouldn’t give any more details than that.

I made a couple of mistakes last week during my Recap.  Oops!  Sorry about that..  I try to be as accurate as possible, but I’m only human.  :-)

Shoutout to Shishir, who pointed out I put “Gems” instead of “Souls” in one section of the Recap.

Shoutout to WG Gustave, who  pointed out I mixed up champions and guardians when discussing last week’s Fusion Event  in the “next week” section.  (Sorry for the confusion, guys!)
