Welcome back, everyone!  The Devs said last week’s Stream was cancelled because Haig was sick.

Haig (Live Ops Manager) and Dom (Associate Art Director) were our hosts for this week’s LiveStream.

There has been no Game Designer on the stream since December 18, 2019, when Matt began his year-long trip around the world.

EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event will be called BEAST OF THE VOID.  It will begin on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27 (around 3:00 GMT) and run until MONDAY, MARCH 2.

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the debut of KORUPTAUR, the Omega Horde Summoning Void Infiltrator.  KORUPTAUR is the sixth addition to the “-taur” series of Titans, which began with Minotaur and continued with Oakentaur, Stormtaur, Magmataur and Frostaur.  (Note:  Omega Horde deal +20% more Damage than regular Horde Troops and do 9x Charge Damage, but have -25% Health and -25% less Troop Count per “Formation”).

KORUPTAUR’s SKILLS:

Slot 1:  +70% Titan and Troop Void Damage, +70% Titan and Troop Void Resist, +1 Summon Omega Horde Spell

Slot 2:  Titan Offensive Tier III Skill (NOTE:  This can be +90% Titan Damage, +44% Titan Armor Piercing OR +44% Titan Critical)

Slot 3:  +360% Horde Damage, +2 Summon Omega Horde Spells

Slot 4:  Titan Offensive X Skill (NOTE:  This can be either +180% Titan Damage OR +88% Titan Armor Piercing)

Slot 5:  +176% Horde Armor Piercing, +2 Summon Omega Horde Spells

(NOTE:  The Koruptaur that the Devs showed on-screen had +90% Titan Damage in Slot 2 and +180% Titan Damage in Slot 4, but ALL OTHER -Taur Titans had random Tier III & X Skills in those Slots - so I included those above.  It is possible that the Skills in those Slots are fixed instead, but I doubt it).

KORUPTAUR will be available for 18k Souls.

It will be an ALLIANCE LEADERBOARD EVENT (also known as an Alliance War Event); prizes will be awarded to all Players in an Alliance according to their Alliance Ranking at the end of the Event.  The Devs did NOT show the Top Ranking Rewards for this Event - but I would imagine they are about the same as most Events.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Is the Sarkon Titan available in this Event Re-skilled?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  I’d have to check, but NO, I don’t think his Skills are different.

Q:  The last Conquest had some bugs - Maidens wouldn’t attack Horde Troops, and Skeletons seemed indestructible.

A:  Haig:  “Oh yeah.  I kind of noticed that.  We’ll look into that”.

Q:  Panthers are getting stuck on attack in Version 1.37.

A:  We need more info - are they getting stuck due to the map geometry, or just not moving at all?  (Note from SteelSpine:  If it’s the same issue that’s always been there, they get “stuck” and keep attacking an empty space after a unit has died.  Come on, Devs.)

Q:  Will the 5* Shadowdancer be changed?

A:  Haig:  At the moment we are not going to make changes to any of the old 5* Relics.  There are new 5* Relics that are coming out very soon, and there are some uses in the meta for the old 5*s coming.  We can’t really say anything more about it, but that will make more sense when you see the changes that are coming to the Divine Altar.

Q:  Some enemy Troops are spawning in places where they cannot be attacked.

A:  We’re aware of it, but if it happens to you please screenshot it and send the picture to Support.

Q:  When is the Earth version of Minotaur coming?

A:  We can’t say when, but it is coming.

Q:  Is there a fix for Lubu’s Skill coming?

A:  Yeah, it should be coming soon.  We’ll look into it again.

Q:  Have you thought about pre-Leveled Relics?

A:  Yes, we have - but we think the Relic Shards will help with leveling up Relics.

Q:  Is Baba Yaga going to be a Summoner?

A:  Dom:  “That’s a good question.  Watch this space”.

Q:  Any news about increasing our Relic storage space?

A:  We are looking into it.  Haig:  “We do have plans for the future for ways to sink more Relics out of your inventory, and more uses for them”.

Q:  What about a delete button for the Treasury Room?

A:  That is now in our backlog of work.  We really, really, really want to do that.

Q:  Endgame players need SOMETHING, fellas.

A:  Haig:  “Vintage - we know.  We know this.  And there is something coming.  It (will be in Version) 1.38 - but we cannot talk about it”.

Q:  Please give Grumpy Smurf a gold Castle.

A:  Haig:  I don’t know who Grumpy Smurf is, and I can’t give somebody a gold castle by themselves.  (Note from SteelSpine:  No idea why I included this - it just made me giggle).

NEXT THREE WEEKS:

MONDAY, 2 MARCH:  A TROOPCRAFT Event (discounts on Troop training and Troop upgrades).

TUESDAY, 3 MARCH:  A “Quick Leaderboard Event”, featuring “a Lightning Titan” which will provide a Boost for the Zeus Event.  (Note from SteelSpine:  This was originally supposed to be a Relic Leaderboard Event, focused on a specific Relic - but it appears that plans have been changed).

THURSDAY, 5 MARCH:  Another Leaderboard Event begins.  This one will feature the return of ZEUS, the Lightning Storm Spell-boosting Lightning Ranger.  The Devs said Zeus will NOT be Re-Skilled, but they did say there would be “a new Relic for Zeus that is very good”.

(NOTE from SteelSpine:  In the first draft of this week’s Recap, I mistakenly said the Devs didn’t mention whether or not Zeus would be Re-Skilled.  Somehow I missed them saying that he would NOT be Re-Skilled.  Quite a few players reached out to me to point out the error, but Dialon was the first.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to let me know about the discrepancy - and I’m very sorry for the confusion!).

MONDAY, 9 MARCH:  A TITANS UNLEASHED (Titan Fusion) Event.  

TUESDAY, 10 MARCH:  A “Greek style” THEATERS OF WAR Event.

WEDNESDAY, 11 MARCH:  DOT’s Fifth Anniversary celebration begins.  Players will receive “a Free Bundle or something like that”.

THURSDAY, 12 MARCH:  Another Leaderboard Event begins.  The Devs wouldn’t say exactly which Titan it would feature, but they said it would be “a mega Titan”.

MONDAY, 16 MARCH:  A CONSTRUCTION FRENZY Event (discount on Building Upgrades).

TUESDAY, 17 MARCH:  A RELIC LEADERBOARD Event, featuring “some of the old Relics, like the 4* WILD ARROWS, that you guys have been asking for”.  There will also be some sort of a “lucky themed free gift bundle” for Saint Patrick’s Day.

THURSDAY, 19 MARCH:  A “PICK YOUR TITAN” Leaderboard Event.  Players who compete will be able to choose one of four offered Titans:  one will be “a Void Titan”, one will be “one of the Minotaur Titans”, and there will be two others available to choose from.

VERSION 1.37 INFO - From the February 26, 2020 LiveStream

The Devs shared A LOT of information regarding the new Version 1.37 Update this week.  In fact, it was SO MUCH text that I couldn’t fit everything in one post on the Line App (which is where most Players read the Recap).  Therefore, in order to keep everything intact and not delete any important details I decided to split the Recap into two parts this week:  The “regular” Recap, and the v1.37 “supplemental” Recap.  Sorry for the confusion, all!

VERSION 1.37:  v1.37 has started to roll out to Android players.  It has rolled out to about 10% of Android users, and should start rolling out to more starting tomorrow (Thursday).  There was an issue that effected Eros, Wadjet and some other Titans (caused by old “test data” from when those Titans were originally being developed accidentally being included in the release), but this has been fixed.  It should be available in the iOS App Store soon, as well.  Devs are hoping for 100% rollout to ALL players by “early next week”.

v1.37 UPDATE DETAILS:

NEW GODS:  Haig:  “The Shattered Kingdoms have reached an impasse.  The factions are at an imbalance, with many resorting to prayer and sacrifice in the hopes that new Gods will answer their cries for help.  Out in the furthest reaches of the universe, these cries have been heard.  Long forgotten deities stir.  War is coming.  Get ready to INVOKE the power of new gods - coming soon to alliance wars”.  (Haig stressed the words “war” and “invoke”, and said there will be a blog post with a teaser image coming soon - most likely at the beginning of the week of March 2-6).

BABA YAGA arrives.

NEW ALLIANCE EVENT TYPE (coming sometime around or before early April):  “Face off against unique, formidable foes - and prepare yourself by joining a large, active Alliance”.  (Note:  Haig also mentioned “maximizing your Titan’s potential to compete”.  No idea what the context is with that, though).

NEW 5* RELICS, which will have “interesting and unique effects”.  Images will be in next week’s Official DoT Blog Post.

NEW DIVINE ALTAR TITANS - NECROSO and LIFESPARK.  They will have “powerful, dynamic abilities that can turn the tide of battle even in the most dire of circumstances”.

DIVINE ALTAR CHANGES:  Lots of changes coming to the DG Altars.  Haig said “the biggest complaint was having 3* Relics there - we THINK we have a plan to get rid of them”.

ASSAULT EVENT will return, with new maps and better Rewards.

CHANGES TO “QUICKMATCH BUTTON” - it should help you find “more appropriate opponents” during Events.

TROOP META CHANGES to ARCHERS (additional +10% to +20% Base Damage from L16-L25), GRENADIERS (additional +1% to +15% Base Critical from L11-L25) and PANTHERS (additional +20% to +30% Base Health and Armor from L16-L25).  (NOTE from SteelSpine:  These numbers reflect the total increase overall compared to what these Troops had previously in Version 1.36.  If this is confusing, think of it this way:  At Level 16 your Archers will now have an additional +10% Damage compared to what they had before.  Every Level after L16 they’ll gain another +1%, so at L17 it’ll be +11%, L18 will be +12%, etc, all the way to L25, which will have an additional +20% Damage compared to what they had in Version 1.36).  Interestingly, **THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES TO HORDE TROOPS IN THIS UPDATE**

INTRODUCTION OF RELIC SHARDS IN THE TEMPLE:  There will be two new Altars:  “Shards” and “Epic Shards”.  Just like the Relic Shards that were previously only available in Assault Events, these unique Relics’ only use will be as “Forging Food” for Leveling up your Relics.  The reason they provide extra Relic Forging Experience is because they always drop at their maximum Level (2*s are always L5, 3*s 4*s and 5*s are always L10), so they give the same Forging XP as forging away a maxed out Relic of the same Rarity would.  (For example:  If you fuse a regular L1 4* Relic into another Relic, you get 3000 Relic Forging XP.  If you fuse one of the new 5* Relic Shards into another Relic, you’ll get 29,000 Relic Forging XP).  (NOTE from SteelSpine:  I’m fairly certain that 5* Relic Shards were not included in any Assault Events in the past, so those are new.  Also, the Devs did NOT mention how much Forging XP would be granted by 2*/3*/4* Shards - so it’s unclear whether or not their numbers have been increased since the last Assault Event).

PLAYER LEVEL XP INCREASE:  The amount of Player XP gained from PVP battles will be doubled.  (Player Level is the number under your profile picture in the top left corner of your screen).

BUG FIXES:  A number of fixes for various bugs that cause crashes and freezes during loading and battle.  Fix for a crash that can occur when transitioning into the game after tapping on a “Push Notification” on iOS devices.  Fix for the “Profile Synchronization” issues when logging into multiple devices or new devices that share a Google Play or GameCenter Account.  More improvements to the Cheater Detection & Prevention systems.

The Devs have cancelled this week’s Stream (and they haven’t posted anything to the Official DoT Blog as of 12:00 pm Wednesday), so there really isn’t much for me to Recap right now.

If the Devs post any new information today I will put together a “No Stream Recap” tomorrow.  In the meantime, I’ve included the schedule for the next two weeks below.

FRIDAY, 21 FEBRUARY:  Unless plans have changed, a CONQUEST Event begins this Friday.  It *should* feature the return of RA, the Fire Guardian.  (NOTE:  Ra boosts the effectiveness of Meteor Strike Spells, and has Grenadier Offensive Skills and Horde Defensive Skills).

MONDAY, 24 FEBRUARY:  A KINGDOM RUSH Event (discount on Neutral Land Refreshes).

TUESDAY, 25 FEBRUARY:  A TEMPLE EVENT, which will “focus on a specific Relic”.  (NOTE:  The Devs previously mentioned that we should be able to “get our hands on” the Elemental Grasp Relic on this day - but this has probably changed now that the Baba Yaga Event has been pushed back).

THURSDAY, 27 FEBRUARY:  Another Leaderboard Event Begins.  The Devs said it would feature “a Titan that was asked about earlier in the Stream” - which means this will likely be the debut of the Void version of Minotaur (NOTE:  This was SUPPOSED TO BE the week that Baba Yaga debuted, but the Devs had to push that Event back due to issues with the upcoming release of Version 1.37).

MONDAY, 2 MARCH:  Another 24 Hour Mini Event (like Kingdom Rush, Portal Surge, etc).

TUESDAY, 3 MARCH:  A Relic Leaderboard Event, focused on a specific Relic (no further info given).

This week’s Event will be called GOD OF LOVE.  It will begin on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13 and run until MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17.

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the debut of EROS, the Physical Archer.  He is equipped with a brand new type of Skill, which “auto casts” Rage Spells on six of your Troops every 20 seconds.

EROS’ SKILLS:

Slot 1:  +225% Archer Damage, Cast Rage on 6 Random Units Every 20 Seconds

Slot 2:  +88% Goliath Armor, +2 Summon Omega Goliaths Spells

Slot 3:  +180% Titan Damage, +44% Archer Critical

Slot 4:  +117% Goliath Health, +2 Summon Omega Goliaths Spells

Slot 5:  +88% Titan Armor Piercing, +88% Archer Armor Piercing

NOTE from SteelSpine:  According to the Devs, the Skill in Slot 1 will last for the duration of a battle, which could make this a very interesting Titan - especially if you have a maxed out Staff Of Iron (which the Devs confirmed will boost the Damage and Duration of Eros’ “auto cast” Rage Spells).  

ALSO - this should be obvious, but the Slot 1 Skill will only cast Rage on YOUR Units, not on enemy Units.  The Slot 1 Skill will also work when Eros is on Defense, and Haig confirmed that it “should work” on Omega Goliaths.

EROS will be available for 18k Souls.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Any news regarding Baba Yaga?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  Baba Yaga will be in Version 1.37.  Unfortunately, we encountered some problems during testing - so 1.37 is taking a bit longer than we wanted it to take.  So Baba Yaga will have to be pushed back a little bit.  Maximum wait should be about 6-7 weeks from now.  (NOTE from SteelSpine:  This means that the timeline I discussed in last week’s Recap - with Baba Yaga premiering during the month of February, as promised - will NOT happen.  Looks more likely to happen in late March now.  The Devs also mentioned that the Mini Relic Event featuring the 4* Elemental Grasp may be pushed back a bit, too, since they were planning on tying that into the Baba Yaga Event - but they’ll let us know for sure in next week’s Stream).

Q:  Can you add a feature where you can post an additional Relic to your Garrison, similar to Economy Relics at the Barracks?

A:  That would mean creating a new type of Relic.  That’s not something we’ve thought about or discussed in the office, so we’ll bring it up and talk about it in the office.  Not a bad idea.

Q:  Will we ever get a Relic Forging Event (like the current Titan Fusion Event)?

A:  We’re still working on the ins and outs of something like that.  Nothing new to report on this stream, but we are still working on it.

Q:  Can we get the Iron Rune Relic in a Leaderboard Event soon, please?

A:  Haig:  “Um, yeah, ok.  That seems plausible.  We could do that”.

Q:  When will the Wild Arrows Relic come back?

A:  They should be in an Event “hopefully sometime quite soon”.

Q:  Will the Elemental Grasp still be in an Event on February 25?

A:  We were kind of tying it to the Baba Yaga Event, so it might be pushed back a bit.  We’ll let you know next week.

Q:  Is “Circle Select” (for Troops) EVER coming back?

A:  Haig:  I’d LOVE to bring this back, but it turns out that the code for it was deleted.  It’s still on our “to do list” for the future, but since it’s such a big job it has been moved way down the list.

Q:  What class will Baba Yaga be?

A:  Baba Yaga will be a Champion.

Q:  Will Oni be in an Event this year?

A:  Yes.  In fact, there will be two new Titans coming to the Divine Altars sometime around mid March.  (Note for non-English speakers:  The date that Dom gave is NOT correct - he thinks it’s funny to give random dates when these questions are asked).

Q:  When is Kronos coming back?

A:  Haig:  I can’t say right now.  Someone will be making an appearance very soon, though:  the God of Olympus.  (Note from SteelSpine:  I’m sure Haig is referring to Zeus here, but someone should tell him there are twelve Gods of Olympus and like half of them are in Dawn of Titans.  Haha)

Q:  When is a Void Minotaur coming?

A:  Haig:  “Oooh!  Wait for the schedule...”

Q:  Is there a release date for v1.37?

A:  Not yet, no.  It’s not far off, though.

Q:  When will the Staff Of Iron be in an Event again?

A:  Probably sometime in the coming weeks.

Q:  When will you start posting the monthly schedule on Social Media again?

A:  It should return soon.  We’re planning something a little bit bigger and better for it.  (Note from SteelSpine:  I wonder if they’ll copy my format).  :-)

Q:  When will Zeus return?

A:  Sometime BEFORE April 2.

Q:  Is a “use any old Event Relic” Event coming?

A:  Yes, we have one scheduled soon.

Q:  Any news on a Void Boar Titan?

A:  We can’t talk about it at this point.

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

There will be a little FREE GIFT BUNDLE for all Players this Friday (Valentine’s Day), so make sure you log in and collect it!

Haig announced during the Stream that the 5* Axes of War Relic HAS been fixed in-game.  It should give the correct amount of BASE Damage now.  (GREAT JOB again getting the word out about this, everybody!).  He also said the Devs are looking into Lubu’s Armor Skill and the other 5* Relics mentioned in last week’s Stream, and will have more info for us next week.

MONDAY, 17 FEBRUARY:  A TITAN’S UNLEASHED Event (TITAN FUSION Event).  It will feature Rangers in the Temple.

TUESDAY, 18 FEBRUARY:  A THEATERS OF WAR Event.  This one will be Void Themed.

THURSDAY, 20 FEBRUARY:  A PORTAL SURGE Event (discount on purchased Portal Stones).

FRIDAY, 21 FEBRUARY:  Another CONQUEST Event begins.  It will feature the return of RA, the Fire Guardian.  (NOTE:  Ra boosts the effectiveness of Meteor Strike Spells, and has Grenadier Offensive Skills and Horde Defensive Skills).

MONDAY, 24 FEBRUARY:  A KINGDOM RUSH Event (discount on Neutral Land Refreshes).

TUESDAY, 25 FEBRUARY:  A TEMPLE EVENT, which will “focus on a specific Relic”.  (NOTE:  The Devs previously mentioned that we should be able to “get our hands on” the Elemental Grasp Relic on this day - but this has probably changed now that the Baba Yaga Event has been pushed back).

THURSDAY, 27 FEBRUARY:  Another Leaderboard Event Begins.  The Devs said it would feature “a Titan that was asked about earlier in the Stream” - which means this will likely be the debut of the Void version of Minotaur (NOTE:  This was SUPPOSED TO BE the week that Baba Yaga debuted, but the Devs had to push that Event back due to issues with the upcoming release of Version 1.37).

MONDAY, 2 MARCH:  Another 24 Hour Mini Event (like Kingdom Rush, Portal Surge, etc).

TUESDAY, 3 MARCH:  A Relic Leaderboard Event, focused on a specific Relic (no further info given).

THURSDAY, 5 MARCH:  Another Leaderboard Event begins.  Haig said it would be a “big Titan”, and Dom said it would be “huge”.
