EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event will be the second running of CONQUEST, Dawn of Titans’ newest Event Mode.  It will begin on FRIDAY, MARCH 1 and run until MONDAY, MARCH 4.

(Note from SteelSpine:  The Devs said “not much has changed” in this Conquest Event compared to the first running.  This means we can probably expect it to take a long time to complete, just like the first time around.  They also said there would be a player survey posted on DOT’s Facebook Page regarding the first Conquest Event (which featured Lu Bu).  If you have any opinions or ideas regarding Conquest, please write down your thoughts and send them off to Support - it really sounds like the Devs want feedback about this particular Event type, so your voice could make a difference).

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the return of two older X-Skilled Titans; AVALOS and MAMESH. AVALOS is a 4* Elithen (Ice) Guardian.  MAMESH is a 4* Unak (Fire) Berserker.

AVALOS’ SKILLS:

Slot 1:  Titan Defensive Tier II

Slot 2:  Imperials Defensive X Skill (Health or Armor)

Slot 3:  Grenadiers Offensive X Skill (Damage or Armor Piercing)

Slot 4:  Imperials Defensive X Skill (Health or Armor, whichever is not in Slot 2)

Slot 5:  Grenadiers Offensive X Skill (Damage or AP, whichever is not in Slot 3)

Avalos is one of the prizes awarded for successful completion of Conquest Level 10.

Just like last time, there will be 3 guaranteed battle drops during this week’s Conquest Event.

There is NO “Boost Titan” for this week’s Event.  Additionally, the Devs did not say whether this will be a Solo/Individual Leaderboard Event or an Alliance Leaderboard Event, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see on Friday how the Ranking Rewards will be tallied and awarded.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  What happened with the Nazul Event?  (Why did the Ranking Rewards get so screwed up?)

Answer (A) from a Developer:  We noticed at the end of the Event that Alliances were completely disappearing from the Leaderboard.  We hunted down the problem and fixed it by pushing out a Server Update, so we don’t think we’ll see that happen ever again.  As for compensating players - the data was lost, but we think we compensated everybody who was affected.  If you didn’t receive your reward you can contact us via the in-game Support.  (Note from SteelSpine:  there’s a blog post about this on the DoT website, as well, if anyone cares to take a look).

Q:  Will we see Dionysus and Poseidon in Events again?

A:  Yes, going forward we’ll most likely have each of them in a future Event.  We can’t say for sure when, but we want to bring them back.

Q:  Will there be 3x guaranteed drops (“Spoils of War”) during this week’s Conquest Event?

A:  YES, there WILL be three guaranteed drops from each successful attack during this week’s Event.

Q:  Any news on the new “Relic XP” Relics (which grant additional Forging Experience)?

A:  YES.  We have already added them to the game files - we think they are called “FORGE SHARDS”.  We’re just trying to figure out internally which Event would be the best time to debut them in-game.  They are basically “empty Relics” which are to be used exclusively for leveling up other Relics.  So they are definitely coming, we just aren’t sure when yet.

Q:  Any update on bringing back “circle select” for Troops?

A:  Yes, we still want to bring back “circle select”.  There were some bug issues with circle select back when it was in the game, which we think we have worked out - but we still need to do a little testing.  Additionally, we aren’t sure if we want to add it for all Players or for higher-level Players, or if we want to keep “Select All” AND “Circle Select” (or just circle select).  These are some of the things we have to talk about behind the scenes before it returns.

Q:  Are Physical Resist Rings and Lightning Resist Rings still coming?

A:  Yes.  We have finished the artwork for them, they just need to be added to the game.  Shouldn’t be long now.

Q:  Where are the new Avatars (in-game/chat Player pictures)?

A:  We’re planning to release them in a big event coming up shortly.  We ran into some unforeseen issues with adding them to the game, so we need to wait until everybody has updated to version 1.30.

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

The Devs talked a bit about why they decided to move the end time for last week’s Event.  They basically said it was to increase the stability of the servers so they don’t run into another issue like they had after the “Death Do Us Part” Event, where Alliances did not receive their Ranking Rewards.  They said ALL FUTURE EVENTS will begin a little earlier than they have in the past, but will end a bit early (at 7:30 in the morning GMT) “for now”.  (Make sure you check the Event Info this week to see what time that translates to in your time zone!)

In the future, LiveStreams will happen on WEDNESDAYs at 4:30 pm GMT, not Thursdays at 3:30 GMT.  (Note from SteelSpine:  I will still try to get the Recap typed up and sent out within a few hours, but Wednesday afternoons are really busy for me - so I may not be able to type them up until Wednesday nights.  If that does happen, I’m really sorry for the delay - but I’ll NEVER be later than the same night a LiveStream takes place.  I promise).

The “Design A Relic” competition is in full swing on Dawn of Titans’ Facebook Page.  (For those who don’t know, “Design a Relic” is something the Devs decided to do in order to give the players a chance to pick the next “elite” Relic to be added to the game.  Check the DoT Facebook Page for full details).

The winner of Round 1 was a Relic with 16-24% All Troop Health, 16-24% All Troop Armor and 14-20% All Troop All Elemental Resist.

The winner of Round 2 was a Relic with 24-40% Titan Health, 18-30% Titan Armor and 16-24% Titan All Elemental Resist.

Those two Relics will go head-to-Head in Round 3, with the winner to be added into the game in a future Event.  Voting for Round 3 begins either FEBRUARY 28 or MARCH 1, so make sure you get online and vote for the one you like the most.  After the Relic Stats are chosen, the community will be able to submit their own artwork and name ideas for the Relic - so check it out when you have a moment.  Sounds pretty cool.

Version 1.30 is finally beginning to roll out to Players - it is currently available for Android players, and should be available for iOS Players shortly (perhaps as early as Thursday, February 28, according to the Devs).  The Devs said it includes a bunch of bug fixes, new loading screens, an increase to Archer Critical rates, a fix for 3* Goliath Belts, Storm Maiden Economy Relics and “behind the scenes features and improvements for upcoming Events”.

NEXT WEEK:

MONDAY:  There will be a NEW one-day Event called “War Unleashed”.  According to the Devs, War Unleashed will involve the Titan Monuments.  It sounds like War Unleashed will be somewhat similar to Theaters of War - but instead of awarding tons of Relics from the Titan Arenas, War Unleashed will award extra Titan Experience from the Titan Monuments.  The Devs said there will be a different amount of Titan Experience awarded depending on which League you are in (Legends, Masters, etc) - but it “will not be a massive difference”.  They also said since this is the first time this Event will take place they consider this a “trial run”, and asked Players to submit their thoughts, ideas and suggestions after War Unleashed ends.

SOMETIME NEXT WEEK (day not defined):  There will be a Relic Festival at some point during the week.  The Devs said they couldn’t say much about it, but that it would be “a good one”.  

*Note from SteelSpine:  I’m not sure there’s ever been a “good” Relic Festival, in my opinion, so I’d take this with a grain of salt.  :-)

NEXT WEEKEND:  The Devs said next week’s regular weekly Event would be a “special Event” that would be “kind of cool, actually”.  They wouldn’t go into detail, but they said it would be “kind of Ranger themed”.  The big news regarding this Event, though, is that you will be able to use ANY OLD EVENT BOOST RELICS that you may have laying around from prior Events.  (Finally!)  :-)
