EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event is called CONQUEST.  Conquest is a NEW Event type.  Viewers of the LiveStream and/or readers of the Recap may remember a new Event type being teased by Matt, the Dev, for the past month or so - it’s been a “special project” he has been working on for a long time.  Conquest is it.  Here’s the description from the Devs’ video, which you can probably find by checking out their YouTube channel or Twitter/Facebook:

Conquest is basically the DoT equivalent of a “Tower Defense” Mode.  The Devs say it will require “a lot of (Attack) skill and tactical combat” to rise to the top of Conquest.  

During the conquest event, a “Corrupted Land” will appear on the world map.  Each Corrupted Land will have a different amount of Health.  When you defeat a Corrupted Land, you will be awarded “multiple prizes” - and afterwards, the next Land will reveal itself.  To attack a Corrupted Land, “Warp Stones” will be required to enter each Battle.  Warp Stones will replenish over time and can be earned in multiple ways, including from the Event Milestone Rewards - but the Devs said the most important/easiest way is via normal Player Versus Player (PVP) Battles (where they will be awarded via Battle Drops).

Attacking Corrupted Lands will require “tactics, skill and timing”.  At different Levels, Corrupted Troops will reveal themselves and appear on the battlefield.  Corrupted Troops will be “much more deadly and resilient” than normal Troops.  Some will be larger (like Corrupted Goliaths), while others will have more units in each battalion (like Corrupted Militia).

When you attack a Corrupted Land, ALL Troops and Spells will be unlocked - and ALL of your Troops and Spells will be of the maximum Level (25).  For example: if your Panthers are Level 21 during normal Attacks, they will be Level 25 during Attacks on Corrupted Lands.

Prizes will be awarded from attacking Corrupted Lands, and when you fully destroy a Corrupted Land you will be awarded multiple Prizes from the Event Milestone page.

Once you have destroyed ten Corrupted Lands and collected all of their Milestone Rewards, you will unlock the “Bonus Levels”.  When you destroy a Bonus Level, you will be awarded an “Echo of War”.  These appear to be special Tokens that can be traded in at the Temple for “powerful Titans and Relics”.  (You MUST spend these Echo of War tokens within 24 hours of the end of the Event - they will NOT carry over).

(Note from SteelSpine:  This is just my opinion here, but I think this Event looks REALLY COOL.  Looks like something anybody can take part in, whether you’re a “free to play” player or a “high roller”.  DoT has needed some fresh content for a long time - and this definitely looks like an exciting addition.  Can’t wait to try it out!).

The very first CONQUEST Event will begin on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8 and run until MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11.  The Devs say we can expect “challenging battles” and a brand new Titan - the Chinese Warlord, Lu Bu.

(Note from SteelSpine:  The Devs said we can find more information on the new Conquest Event by checking out one of seven different YouTuber’s Channels.  They will each have videos posted soon, discussing the different Event Levels, strategies, etc.  If you’re interested in checking them out, head over to YouTube and search for XadeGamer, Zalonisap, Godan, Bo Ganora, GamingJaeger, Yuki and/or SoulJiahxd.  I’m not sure why GameRescue wasn’t included on this list - perhaps because he’s been critical of the Developers lately?  I hope that isn’t the case - there should be room for dissenting opinions from the various YouTubers).

Titan Details:

This week’s Conquest Event will feature Lu Bu.  Lu Bu is a 4* Lightning Champion.  He has a Unique Skill in Slot 1 called “Lu Bu’s Halberd”, which grants +40% Titan Health + Armor and 3x Lightning Spells.

SKILLS:

Slot 1:  +40% Titan Health, +40% Titan Armor, 3x Lightning Spells

Slot 2:  Titan Defensive Tier II

Slot 3:  Titan Offensive Tier II

Slot 4:  Titan Defensive Tier III

Slot 5:  Titan X Skill

Lu Bu will be awarded upon completion of the Level 10 Corrupted Land.

4* Red Hare (Reward available at Level 10)

+60% Titan Lightning Damage

+20% Storm Maiden Critical

+24% Titan ALL Elemental Resist

4* Lu Bu’s Crown (at Level 10)

+30% Storm Maiden Armor Piercing

+30% Titan Armor

+16% ALL Troop Elemental Resist (ALL Elements)

Epic Token at Level 8.

SOLGAR (4* Titan) at Level 8.

4* Shield of the Gods at Level 9.

4* Banner of the Storm at Level 9.

It is an INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD EVENT (also known as an Solo War Event); prizes will be awarded to Players according to their Individual Ranking at the end of the Event.  (Future Conquest Events may have an Alliance Leaderboard, but this one is Solo).

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Any news on fixes for the in-game chat?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  We’re aware of the issues, and we have people looking at it right now.

Q:  How long will Conquest Events last?

A:  We think they’ll run like normal Events, but this particular one will probably go on until Monday.

Q:  Will we still see the return of the “Trials of Power” Event type?  Or will Conquest replace it?

A:  We still plan on bringing that Event type back at some point.

Q:  How long will it take to replenish Warp Stones?

A:  We haven’t quite finalized it yet, but it should be about 25 minutes per Warp Stone.  ALSO:  We didn’t mention this earlier, but this Conquest Event will also include Guaranteed 3x Battle Drops from all PVP battles.

Q:  Will there be Titan XP or Victory Points (VP) in the Corrupted Lands battles?

A:  Corrupted Lands won’t give VP, but they will give pretty significant Titan XP.

Q:  Will Corrupted Lands drop Spells on your Troops?

A:  No, there will be no Spells defending the Lands - but the upper Levels will be quite difficult.

Q:  Can we please get an Event to use old Boost Relics?

A:  Yes, we have an Event set up for that very soon.  Not sure exactly when, but it will definitely be within the next three weeks.

Q:  Can you fix Storm Maiden AI?  They keep trying to run through Units and getting killed.

A:  We’re aware of the problem, and we are trying to work on a fix for that.

Q:  Can you save Warp Stones or Event Relics at the end of this Conquest Event for the next one?

A:  The Relics will carry over, but the Warp Stones won’t carry over - but you’ll always start off with 50 Warp Stones.

Q:  Any Events coming up with older Relics?

A:  Yes, we’re bringing back some of the old Relics in a future Event.  They might be retuned a little bit.  That should be happening very soon.

Q:  What will Event Relics do in the Conquest Event?

A:  The Event Relics for Conquest will be called Warp Cores.  They will grant extra damage to Corrupted Lands, and will also have secondary effects that give a huge boost to Troop or Titan Health and Damage.

Q:  How did the Lands become Corrupted?

A:  We don’t want to reveal that quite yet, but it ties in with how Almarand was Corrupted - and it will tie into an Event in the future.  Stay tuned!

OTHER INFORMATION:

The Devs read a statement regarding the Artemis controversy from a couple of weeks back.  They thanked the community for the input and said they will use the feedback to shape future Events.. but they did NOT announce any changes to Artemis.

NEXT WEEK:

MONDAY:  There will be a “Relic Festival” (Temple Event, I guess?), focusing on Poison and Physical Relics.

Also: sometime next week there will be something happening in regards to Archers.  The Devs didn’t share any details at all about what would be happening, but it sounds like they might be getting a boost and/or changes to their strength.

THURSDAY:  The regular weekly Event will begin.  It will be an Alliance Leaderboard Event.  (Note from SteelSpine:  a few weeks ago the Devs said there would be a “special Titan” sometime around Valentine’s Day, which is next Friday.  There have also been leaks regarding a possible new God Titan for the weekend around that time.  So we MAY see a new God (Summoner?) Titan next week.  This is all speculation at this point, but stay tuned..)
