EVENT DETAILS:
This week’s Event will be called THE FELINE. It will begin on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 and run until MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30.

Titan Details:
This week’s Event features the debut of BAST, the Void Infiltrator.
BAST’s SKILLS:
Slot 1: 30% Base Damage, Armor, Health, Speed, Ranged Resist, 4x Critical Damage, Charge Damage.
Slot 2: +44% Titan Critical, +71% Horde Critical, +2 Rage Spells
Slot 3: +180% Titan Void Damage, +360% Horde Damage
Slot 4: +88% Titan Armor Piercing, +176% Horde Armor Piercing
Slot 5: +40% Titan All Elemental Resist, +30% Horde All Elemental Resist
(NOTE: The Skill in Slot 1 was shown exactly as I typed it. It is my understanding that it grants +30% to TITAN Base Damage, Armor, Health, Speed and Ranged Resist. It is worth noting that “Base” Damage is calculated somewhat differently than regular Elemental +Damage Skills; anything added to a Titan or Troop’s BASE STATS will multiply any Relics that are attached to the Titan, so the overall increase is greater when combined with Relics than a normal “+Titan Void Damage” Skill - similar to the way the +Troop Damage Skills/Stats work on Relics).
(NOTE 2: The 4x Critical and 4x Charge Damage in Slot 1 means that Bast’s Critical attacks and Charge attacks will be multiplied by 4x, rather than the normal 3x that other Titans have).
BAST will be available for 18k Souls.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:
Question (Q) from a Player: Will Oni ever be available outside of the Divine Altar?
Answer (A) from a Developer: One day, yeah.
Q: Only Lightning Resist and Physical Resist Kite Shields are dropping. Why?
A: All of them should be in there. We will look into it. (Note from SteelSpine: This has been asked multiple times, but the Devs never follow up on it. Not sure if the drop chance for other Elements is just turned way, way down or what, but I hope they look into it this time).
Q: When is Kronos coming back?
A: Dom: “Watch this space”. Matt: “We just had him not too long ago”.
Q: Dom: “Whats wrong with the Ice Maul? Is there a problem with Ice Maul?”
A: Matt: “uh, Ice Maul was a super old Relic. Uh, I don’t know what the issue is with it. I personally don’t know”. (Note from SteelSpine: This was a really odd exchange. I’m not sure if the question was supposed to be about whether or not the Ice Maul will come back or what, but the Devs didn’t really answer it. I quoted Dom’s question and Matt’s response word for word, in case anyone is interested).
Q: What does the Eternal Shrine do?
A: Matt: “uh, it was.. it IS just a decoration. But actually, watch this space - we may have a surprise in store for you guys for the Eternal Shrine. Uh - maybe one of our ‘bad boy’ Devs might be doing something cool with it!”.

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:
The Devs shared the new concept artwork for the winning “Design A Titan” submission (which is tentatively being called “Talon Warlock”). They said we would be seeing more polls on Facebook for the competition soon, which would determine which Skills the Titan will have. We may see the new polls posted sometime next week.
DoT’s newest version has been released for both Android and Apple devices. I’ve laid out the changes in the Recap before, so I won’t bore you all - You can find the change log in previous versions of the Recap, or on the Official Dawn of Titans Blog (easily found through Google).
The Devs said that the “Neutral Lands cost change” (from Food/Corn to Gold) would probably be turned on NEXT SEASON. They said they think the reason it isn’t showing up right now is because the Season had already begun when they turned the changes on.

NEXT TWO WEEKS:
MONDAY, 30 SEPTEMBER: There will be a TROOPCRAFT Event.
TUESDAY, 1 OCTOBER: Some sort of a “RELIC MULTI SPIN ALTAR” Event. The Devs said that the Elemental Grasp will be available in this Event.
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER: There will be a CONQUEST EVENT. It will be Lightning themed. (NOTE: The Devs had previously said that this Conquest Event would feature a new Titan - but that was back when Conquest was supposed to take place on September 20, BEFORE the schedule was changed. They have not given any hints as to whether or not this Conquest will still have a new Titan in it).

MONDAY, 7 OCTOBER: There will be a Guardian themed TITANS UNLEASHED Event (also known as a TITAN FUSION Event). (Reminder for newer players: During Titans Unleashed, ALL same-class to same-class Fusion provides the same big XP bonus. The “theme” only affects which Titans are featured at the Temple).
MONDAY, 7 OCTOBER to 9 OCTOBER: There will be another ASSAULT Event. The Devs said this Assault will have a few changes. The two new Levels discussed in the update notes will be added, as well as “smoothed out point scoring” (no more issues with your score going up massively in the first minute, then trickling for the rest of the time). Matt also said that the Relic Shard XP WILL be changed / increased when the Event goes live.
SOMETIME AROUND 7-9 OCTOBER: Matt briefly mentioned there would be a SPELLCRAFT Event this week.
THURSDAY, 10 OCTOBER: Another Leaderboard Event takes place. The Devs said this would be the next “-Taur Event” (Minotaur themed, like Oakentaur and Stormtaur), but they have not said which -Taur Titan it will be.

I was the one who asked about Ice Maul.
ReplyDeleteIce Maul’s first ability is that it changes the Titan holding it into an Ice Titan. This allows you to put any Ice Relic onto that Titan. This is a pretty useful ability. The bug with this Relic is that now only Ice Titans can use it, rendering the first ability completely useless.
Why was it useful before it was broken? The most important thing was that it would allow you to put Auria’s Bounty onto any Infiltrator Titan. This was useful in “Any Soul Relic” events. If you’re a grinder, it would be worth a couple thousand souls.
I noticed they'd recently Changed the Ice Maul too. It was an amazing relic. Opened up loads of possibilities with equipping certain imperial buffing relics on non ice titans. You could then remove the Ice Maul but keep all the other relics equipped.
DeleteWhen I asked support why they stopped a relic that I had earned from working the reply I received was that "changes were made for the betterment of the game, and as the relic was released accidentally very OP"...
Of course it would also let you put a Frost Hammer, Avalanche, Etc onto a non-Ice Titan, like the new Drakor.
