NOTE:  Be sure to read the TEASERS section below.  Important announcements regarding Version 1.32, a new Element and new Troops.  I moved the Q&A section to after the Teasers section so nobody gets confused about the questions being asked about the new Element type.

EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event is called GATEKEEPER.  It will begin on THURSDAY, MAY 9 and run until MONDAY, MAY 13.

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the return of HADES, the Fire Champion.  Hades has the ability to Summon Omega Grenadiers to the battlefield.  Omega Grenadiers have +50% Speed, +50% Troops (per formation) and +20% Range, but have -60% Health. 

Hades’ SKILLS:

Slot 1:  1x Summon Omega Grenadiers Spell, +58% Titan Health

Slot 2:  Panthers Offensive X Skill

Slot 3:  2x Summon Omega Grenadiers Spells, +44% Grenadiers Critical

Slot 4:  Panthers Offensive X Skill

Slot 5:  2x Summon Omega Grenadiers Spells, +180% Grenadiers Damage

NOTE:  Hades’ Skills are the SAME as they were last time he was offered.  NO changes.

HADES is available for 15k Souls.

There are NO new Relics available in this Event.

4* Orb of War at 9k.

4* Malkor (Titan) at 10k.

4* Banner of Flame at 12k.

150 Divine Gems at 13k.

It is an SOLO LEADERBOARD EVENT (also known as an Individual War Event); prizes will be awarded to all Players according to their Individual (Solo) Ranking at the end of the Event.

Top Ranking Rewards in this Event:

1st Place:  Level 50 Hades

2nd Place:  Level 40 Hades

3rd Place:  Level 30 Hades

Top 4-5:  L25 Hades

Top 6-10:  L20 Hades

11-50:  L15 Hades

51-100:  L10 Hades

101-250:  L5 Hades

251-500:  L1 Hades

Other Ranking Rewards are available below 500th Place.

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

According to the Devs, this week’s Hades Event is “starting off a new series of Events which will effect the game”.  They said the next few weeks would basically be “Chapter 2” of the Titans vs Gods storyline, and they encouraged players to keep an eye out for the Message Of The Day next week - where a new piece of the story will be revealed every so often.

The Devs revealed some information about the NEW TROOP type coming to Dawn of Titans.  They said next week there will be a Theaters of War Event - where you will be able to fight against the NEW Troop type, which is currently being called “The Horde” or “The Skeletal Horde”.  The Devs said they will go into greater detail about the new Troops during next week’s LiveStream.  (NOTE:  Strangely enough, at NO time did the Devs actually confirm that the new Troops would do Void Damage).

The Devs also discussed what we can expect in DoT’s next version (v1.32).  These include:  

A NEW ELEMENT TYPE.  This is the quote from the Developers:  “As the Gates to the Underworld open, a new Element has been released into Dawn of Titans:  THE VOID.  Be prepared for new Void Titans, Skills, Relics and more.  As the Void rises, a new horde rises to spread devastation across the realm”.  “This content will become available in upcoming Events”.

CHANGES TO TERROR:  The Terror Spell will now deal a burst of Damage.  The Devs said Terror will still cause enemy Troops to flee (run away), but will also “deal an initial burst of Damage upon casting”.

CHANGES TO LEAGUE AND SEASON REWARDS, including:  

Titan Experience scaling based upon League.  (Higher Leagues will grant more Titan XP per battle than lower Leagues).  The Devs said there will be a base multiplier involved, beginning at 1.05x in Gold League and increasing .05x with each league above Gold.  For Example: Gold League players will receive 1.05x Titan XP (5% more Titan XP), next League up will grant 1.1x, then 1.15x, then 1.2x, then 1.25x - building up to Legends League, where players will be granted 1.3x Titan XP (30% more Titan XP).

Divine Gems will be added as Season Rewards for Champion, Master and Legend Leagues.

Pre-Leveled Titan prizes:  Players in higher Leagues will be awarded Level 1-10 Titans, depending on their League position at the end of a Season.  (1st Place will get a L10, 2nd L5, 3rd L1).  (Note:  You will not see the Levels reflected in the Leaderboard until version 1.33, but the new Rewards will be granted in v1.32).

More Rewards for more Alliances in Elite, Champion, Master and Legend Leagues.  For example:  ALL Alliances in Legends League will now receive Gems, instead of just the Top 20.

NEW RELIC FILTERING OPTION:  You will now be able to filter by individual rarity (1*/2*/3*/4*).

Version 1.32 is beginning to roll out for Android users today.  iOS users should see the update in a few days (perhaps as early as Monday).  Note:  The new features listed above will not be turned on until v1.32 rolls out to ALL users.

The Devs mentioned that we WILL see new 5* Relics in version 1.33 (so not this version, but the next one).

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Will Relics that “Resist All Elements” also Resist the new Element that’s being released soon?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  YES, all Titans and Relics that “Resist All” current Elements will also Resist “Void” Damage.

Q:  With a new Element being introduced, does that make all existing Titans weak?

A:  Not at all.  We were very careful to keep things balanced.

Q:  Will Almarand or Calvarax be switched to Void Damage?

A:  No, they will not change.

Q:  After the version 1.32 update, will the Element for Skeletons be Void?

A:  YES.  Skeletons from the Skeleton Spell will deal Void Damage instead of Physical.

Q:  Any new campaign Levels coming?

A:  No, but we have something new coming in Version 1.33 - which we can’t really talk about right now.

Q:  With the new Element coming, will Valorn and Kronos be useless?

A:  “No, they won’t”.

Q:  Will there still be a reduced Portal Stones cost for the Arenas in the future?

A:  Yes, we still plan on making that change.  There’s something that’s preventing the change right now, but we’re working on it - maybe for v1.33.

Q:  (LOTS of questions about Titans and Relics not having Void Resist).

A:  “Don’t worry about it too much”.  “There will be new Relics - and existing Relics with Void Resist - added to the drop pools when The Void debuts”.

Q:  Will the new Troops be added to the default Troops that guard Lands and Garrisons?

A:  YES, we are making that change for v1.32.  Once they are released you should begin to see them on Defense.  Storm Maidens, too.

Q:  Could you add more Titans from past Events and more 3* Titans to Event Rewards, instead of the same 2* Titans we always get?

A:  Yeah, we can look into that.

Q:  What happened to the changes that allow us to change Spell behavior on defense?

A:  We never intended on doing that.  The change was actually to make Spells more efficient on Defense - not give players control over them.

Q:  Will Horde Troops match up to Skeleton Spell Skeletons’ Levels?

A:  No, Horde Troops will be totally different and separate from Skeletons.

Q:  Can we get the same exact Garrison maps for every Garrison?

A:  No.  There isn’t much difference in Garrison map layout win rates, and we don’t want to make Garrison attacks boring.

Q:  What Level will the new Troops and Troop Building come in at?

A:  The Horde will begin at Level 16 - and they will not actually have their own Building.  They will be connected to your Barracks Level.

Q:  You’re creating a hole in a lot of existing defenses.  A lot of people are going to be upset.

A:  Matt:  “There are going to be a lot of Void Resist Relics released as soon as the new Element premieres - so don’t worry about it, guys”.  (Note from SteelSpine:  Somebody in the chat mentioned how defensive and dismissive Matt is being about this question.  That’s how I would describe his answers, too).

Q:  Will there be a new Level for Void Troops in the next Conquest?

A:  Conquest will still be 10 Levels, but one of them will be Void Troops, yes.  Probably beginning in v1.33.

Q:  Can we have the final Relic slot open for Titans at Level 55?

A:  “Umm..  we’re looking into” Relic slots - “but we won’t be making that particular change, no”.
