Matt (Game Designer) and Haig (Live Ops Manager) were our hosts for this week’s LiveStream.  Dom (Game Artist) was unavailable for the first 3/4 of the Stream, as he was “very, very busy at his desk” - but he joined the other guys towards the end.

EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event will be called HEART OF THE WILD.  It will be we a CONQUEST Event.  It will begin on FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 (around 3:30 pm BST) and run until MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2.

(IMPORTANT NOTE regarding Conquest Events:  If you are in the middle of an attack when the timer expires at the end of the Event, the points you acquire from that attack *WILL NOT COUNT* towards your total.  Support will probably only offer you a few Gems if this happens, so PLEASE finish your attacks a few minutes before the Event ends!)

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the return of LADEGA, the Poison Ranger.  LADEGA’s Skills have been changed from her previous version; the new LADEGA’s Skills are somewhat similar to the changes that were recently made to Etalus.

LADEGA’s new SKILLS:

Slot 1:  Panthers Defensive Tier II (Either +44% Health, +36% Armor OR +72% Resistance Vs One Element)

Slot 2:  Panthers Offensive X Skill (Either +180% Damage OR +88% Armor Piercing)

Slot 3:  Panthers Defensive Tier II (Either +44% Health, +36% Armor OR +72% Resistance Vs One Element)

Slot 4:  Panthers Offensive X Skill (Whichever is not in Slot 2)

Slot 5:  Panthers Defensive X Skill (Either +117% Health OR +88% Armor)

(NOTE:  If the same rules that have always applied to Titans apply to LADEGA then whichever Skill you get in Slot 1 will not be repeated in Slot 3).

LADEGA will be available at Level 10 of the Conquest Event.

4* TOXIC TONIC

+ Titan Poison Damage

+ Panther Damage

+ Panther All Elemental Resist

4* STAFF OF POISON

+3 Poison Cloud Spells

+ Poison Cloud Spell Damage

(Note:  Exact numbers for the above Relics were not shared during the Stream).

Top Rewards available in this Event will include:

Corrupted Land Level 7:  10 Warp Stones, 700 Gems, 75 Divine Gems, Warp Token, 4* Banner of the Forest

Level 8:  10 Warp Stones, 900 Gems, Warp Token, 4* Venomseed, MITANO (4* Poison Guardian Titan)

Level 9:  10 Warp Stones, Epic Token, 125 Divine Gems, 1,800 Gems, 4* Staff of Poison, 

Level 10: 10 Warp Stones, 4* Toxic Tonic, 4* Dory, 225 Divine Gems, LADEGA

Since this is Conquest, there are no Titans that offer Bonus Souls.

As always during Conquest, there will be 3 guaranteed Battle Drops after every successful attack.

ECHOES OF WAR:

The drop pool for the Echoes of War Altars have been updated.  The Relics available at the 1 Echo of War Altar will now include Armored Boots, Bountiful Harvest, Coiled Serpent, Kopis, Laurel Wreath, Mawrok’s Buckle, Mawrok’s Necklace, Mindfyre, Molten Core, Rabbit Heirloom, Spearhead, Sun Disc, Urkon’s War Paint, Viking Helm, Void Remnant and “many more”.  The Titans available at the 4 Echoes of War Altar will now include Almarand, Artemis, Avalos, Delphira, Etalus, Firestryke, Neykar, Odin, Poseidon, Urkon, Valorn and Yalluth.

It will be an INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD EVENT (also known as an Solo War Event); prizes will be awarded to Players according to their Individual Ranking at the end of the Event.

Top Ranking Rewards in this Event:

1st Place:  Level 50 Ladega

2nd Place:  L40 Ladega

3rd Place:  L30

Top 4-5:  L25

Top 6-10:  L20

11-50:  L15 

51-100:  L10

101-250:  L5

251-500:  Level 1 Ladega

501-1000:  4* Toxic Rune

1001-2000:  4k Gems

Other Ranking Rewards (Gems) will be available below 2000th Place.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Can you make Daily Quests a bit better so they’re not so repetitive?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  “We’re actually looking at potentially changing them in the future to make them a bit different.  Thanks for the feedback”.

Q:  Any new features coming?

A:  We have some big new feature stuff coming.  We can’t talk about it much yet, but there’s some good stuff in the works.  (Matt also mentioned that the new features may include replay-able adventure campaign Levels).

Q:  Will the changes to Damage Vs Titans be retroactive?

A:  Yes.  (Note from SteelSpine:  Haig talked over Matt a big during this answer, but it SOUNDED LIKE Matt said it would be replaced with “Troop Damage”.  I’m not sure if he meant it would be replaced with the actual “+Troop Damage” Skill, which is calculated a bit differently from “+Panther Damage”, “+Imperials Damage”, etc, or not.  Hopefully the Devs will expand a bit on this answer in the near future, so we know exactly what to expect).

Q:  Can you increase the maximum Player Level upwards from its current cap of 50?

A:  We’re actually thinking about making some changes to Player Levels, so let me write that down.  Good suggestion.

Q:  When will the next Void Titan be released?

A:  Soon.  We can’t give you a date, but the next Void Titan will be “very cool”.

Q:  When will we see an “Altar of Plenty” Event?

A:  Haig:  “Maybe in the next four weeks, but don’t hold me to that”.

Q:  Any word on a Horde Summoner?

A:  (lots of smiles, grins and “hmmmm”s):  I don’t know.  Maybe!

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

The Devs briefly mentioned that they are trying to give as much information as possible to the players during Relic Festivals and Temple Takeovers, so Players will know exactly which Titans and/or Relics are available during those Events.  They said this is in response to players asking for more communication from the Developers.

ASSAULT EVENT FEEDBACK:

The Devs talked a bit about the feedback they received regarding the new Assault Event.  They said one of the biggest complaints was about the point scoring dropping off significantly over time.  Matt said the reason for that was because they didn’t want there to be a significant scoring discrepancy between new players and more experienced players.  He said it will be adjusted for Version 1.34.

Matt also brought up the Forging XP numbers for the Relic Shards.  He said the way it works is the Relic Shards give the same XP as a regular Relic of the same Rarity and Level.  In order to increase the rewards, the Devs are going to increase the XP curve so that players will receive more Forging XP from Forging away pre leveled Relics (and higher level Relics in general).  (Note from SteelSpine:  This is WAY overdue.  If my memory is correct, a Level Two 4* Relic gives the same Forging XP as a Level Ten 4* Relic - which is completely ridiculous - and it’s been that way ever since the new Relic Forging system was introduced last year.  Hopefully the Devs will increase the numbers *significantly*.  Relic Shards are a great idea, but if they don’t give at least 6x to 10x the XP of a regular 4* Relic they just aren’t worth having in the game at all in my opinion.  I personally would rather have a regular 4* and decide whether or not to Forge it away than have a 4* Shard that only gives 2x or 3x the Forging XP).

There will be optimization changes made before the next Assault to help keep older devices from overheating and/or crashing, as well as reducing the time for each Level down to 3 minutes instead of 4.

Finally, there will be two new Levels added to the Event, bringing the total number of maps to five - and the Portal Stone cost will be reduced for each battle.

NEXT TWO WEEKS:

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2:  A “Kingdom Rush” Event (discount on Neutral Land refreshes).

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3:  A Temple Takeover Event, featuring Hel.  Hel will provide the top Soul Boost for the September 5th Event, which will feature STORMTAUR.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5:  Another Leaderboard Event begins.  This one will feature STORMTAUR, the Lightning version of Minotaur.  (Note from SteelSpine:  The Devs did NOT confirm this, but I would imagine that Stormtaur will be similar to Minotaur and Oakentaur - and will probably boost Storm Maidens, since Oakentaur boosts Panthers).  (Also:  The Devs hinted that in addition to Hel giving the biggest Soul Bonus, there MAY be a Soul Bonus for Either Minotaur or Oakentaur).

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 to WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11:  There will be another Mini Relic Leaderboard Event, focusing on Fire Relics.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12:  Another Leaderboard Event begins.  The Devs said this one will feature the return of DRAKOR, the Unak Fire Champion.  Drakor will have newly updated Skills.

Last week I made a mistake regarding Cerberus’ Skills.  I mistakenly said he granted +40% Troop Armor Piercing in Slot 1; this should have said +40% Troop Health.  Thank you to MPdog from Ancient Gods for pointing out the mistake.  Sorry, everybody!
