Matt (Game Designer), Haig (Live Ops Manager) and Dom (Game Artist) were our hosts for this week’s LiveStream.  This was Matt’s last Stream before taking an extended vacation throughout 2020.

EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event will be called SNOWSTORM.  It will begin on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19 and run until MONDAY, DECEMBER 23.

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the debut of FROSTAUR, the Ice Infiltrator.  FROSTAUR is the latest in the -Taur series of Summoner Titans, which began with Minotaur and continued with Oakentaur, Magmataur and Stormtaur.

FROSTAUR’s SKILLS:

Slot 1:  +56% Titan & Troop Armor Piercing, +56% Titan & Troop Ice Resist, +1 Summon Omega Imperials Spell

Slot 2:  Titan Offensive Tier III Skill

Slot 3:  +88% Imperial Armor, +2 Summon Omega Imperials Spells

Slot 4:  Titan Offensive X Skill

Slot 5:  +117% Imperials Health, +2 Summon Omega Imperials Spells

FROSTAUR will be available for 16k Souls.  FROSTAUR will also provide a top Boost for next week’s PROGENITOR Event (details in the “NEXT TWO WEEKS” section below).

NOTE:  Omega Imperials have +40% Health and +30% Speed compared to regular Imperials, but they deal -50% Damage.  They also deal 5x Charge Damage, instead of the usual 3x.  (NOTE:  I mistakenly said Omega Imps deal +50% Damage; they actually deal -50% Damage compared to regular Imperials.  Thanks to Amma P from the § KRAKEN Alliance for pointing out my error.  Sorry about that, all!)

It will be an ALLIANCE LEADERBOARD EVENT (also known as an Alliance War Event); prizes will be awarded to all Players in an Alliance according to their Alliance Ranking at the end of the Event.

Top Ranking Rewards in this Event were NOT shown, but I’d imagine they are the same as usual (FROSTAUR for the top 100 or 250 Alliances).

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  I can’t collect the Ice Fragment from the first Castle Quest.

Answer (A) from a Developer:  That must be a bug.  We’ll look into it.

Q:  Is it possible to collect enough Ice Fragments to get two Titans?

A:  “I guess technically it is possible, but it would be very very difficult to do”.  “Maybe is the answer”.

Q:  Can you confirm that all of the resist versions (for Kite Shields, etc) are now in the battle drops, and not just Physical + Lightning?

A:  Yes, that was included in this update.

Q:  Is it possible to get Relics (like the Dragon Helm or Mount Armor) with Void Resistance from Battle Drops?

A:  Yes, those were added in v1.36, as well.

Q:  Will Zeus be in a January Event?

A:  Not in January, but definitely in the first 3 months of 2020.

Q:  Are you going to improve the endgame for maxed out players?

A:  “Just watch this space in 2020.  It’s gonna be lit”.

Q:  What happened to the special Altars and Tokens from Theaters of War?

A:  The Altars will only appear when Theaters of War goes live, but the Tokens are saved until you use them (just like Event Tokens).

Q:  Can you make the “Stand Ground” button toggle between “Stand Ground” and “Attack”?

A:  Probably not.  We still want to bring back “Circle Select”, though.

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

Version 1.36 is now 100% live on Apple and Android, so be sure to download the update ASAP.

The Devs mentioned that they are aware of an issue with having “multiple game profiles” on the same device.  They are working on a fix, but they said in the meantime you can resolve the issue on iOS by logging out of GameCenter, force closing the game, changing your GameCenter account and reopening the game.  On Google Play, you must force close DoT, change your Google Play acct in the device settings, then uninstall DoT, and reinstall it with the other Google Play account (alternately you can clear the app data in the cache settings on Android devices and that should also work).  They said if you have any other issues, please contact Customer Support.

The Devs mentioned that new Titans will be added to the Divine Shrine Temple in January.  (NOTE:  Since there is a Conquest Event on January 3 featuring Belobog, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if there was an Event on January 9 that featured Chernobog, Huntress or Oni - but this is JUST SPECULATION by me.  I could be very, very wrong).

Matt mentioned that there are a lot of new features coming in the first few months of 2020, including “a new Alliance based internal event”.  No hints on exactly what this means, but it sounds like it could be an Event where Alliance members compete against each other or something like that?  Stay tuned.

Matt also hinted - yet again - that the sixth Skill Slot might be unlocked on Titans sometime in the first few months of the year.  His exact words this week were “something that you guys have always felt was missing with a certain rarity of Titan”.  (NOTE from SteelSpine:  IF this does turn out to be a sixth Skill for 4* Titans, this COULD tie in to what the Devs were saying last week about not getting rid of older Titans because “they could be useful in the future”.  It is POSSIBLE that the Devs COULD make this change RETROACTIVE - which would give all older Titans a sixth skill, too.  Again, this is ONLY SPECULATION by me - it is very possible that I’m wrong about all of this).

NEXT TWO WEEKS:

MONDAY, DECEMBER 23:  There will be a “mini type” Event (like Construction Frenzy, or Kingdom Rush).

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24:  Some sort of Temple Event.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 25:  The CHRISTMAS EVENT begins (one day earlier than normal).  It will feature a new ICE GUARDIAN named PROGENITOR and will run until Monday, December 30.  (NOTE:  FROSTAUR will provide a top soul bonus; no word on which other Titans will give a boost).

PROGENITOR’s SKILLS:

Slot 1:  +30% Titan and Troop All Elemental Resist, +1 Summon Omega Imperials Spell

Slot 2:  +30% Imperials Melee Resist, +50% Imperials Void Resist, +2 Freeze Spells

Slot 3:  +117% Imperials Health, +58% Titan Health, +2 Summon Omega Imperials Spells

Slot 4:  +50% Imperials Ranged Resist, +50% Imperials Earth Resist, +2 Freeze Spells

Older Relics in the PROGENITOR Event will include the 4* Ice Cuirass, 4* Ice Gauntlets, 4* Ice Helm, 4* Chilling Vial, 4* Frost Charms, 4* Poseidon’s Crown.

Delphira (4* Ice Paladin) and Vixia (4* Ice Ranger) will also be in the Rewards for the Event.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 30:  A TITANS UNLEASHED EVENT (also known as a FUSION EVENT).  This one will be Guardian themed, but as always ANY same-class Fusion grants an extra bonus during the Event.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31 to JANUARY 3:  A “Fire and Void” Relic Festival (Temple Event, presumably).

FRIDAY, JANUARY 3:  A CONQUEST Event begins.  It will feature BELOBOG, the Human Fire Paladin.  (No word on whether or not he will be Reskilled).
