There was no LiveStream again this week due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.  Our last LiveStream from the Devs was on February 27th.

Devs - if you read these things:  Please reconsider doing a weekly Reddit AMA (“Ask Me Anything”), or a Q&A session on Facebook.  Hell, I’d even volunteer to collect questions on Wednesdays and submit them to you via email for answering on Thursdays.  I 100% understand and support the need for Social Distancing, and I get it if you don’t want cameras in your houses for LiveStreams - but this game changes too often to leave us without answers to our questions for months at a time, and a poorly produced weekly “official blog” post doesn’t begin to cut it for a game that costs $100+ per week to compete at the highest levels.  Please - do what’s right for your players.

This week’s Event features the return of AVALOS, the Ice Guardian.  AVALOS has been reskilled for this Event.

In support of the World Health Organization’s message of Physical Distancing, DoT is helping to promote the idea of #PlayApartTogether.  Each of the next four weeks will feature a week-long “Mini Event”:

6-13   APRIL:  KINGDOM RUSH Event (discount on Neutral Land refreshes).

13-20 APRIL:  SPELLCRAFT Event (discount on Spells and Spell Upgrades).

20-27 APRIL:  PORTAL SURGE Event (discount on purchasing Portal Stones).

27 APRIL to 4 MAY:  TROOPCRAFT Event (discount on Troops and Troop Upgrades).

NEXT THREE WEEKS:

MONDAY, 6 APRIL to WEDNESDAY, 8 APRIL:  There will be some kind of “Special Event”.  More details will be posted sometime this week on the Official DoT Blog - at which time I will either update this post OR create a new post, so check back on my blog site sometime on Friday/Saturday for details.  (NOTE:  This MAY be the “new Event mode” that the Devs have been teasing for a long time - or it may be the reintroduction of Assault - or it may just be a Temple thing.  Who knows?).

THURSDAY, 9 APRIL to MONDAY, 13 APRIL:  Another Alliance Leaderboard Event begins.  This Event is referred to as “LITHOTAUR” on the Official Blog – so it will likely include a new Minotaur-type Titan (although it could also be some sort of a “choose your own -Taur” Event).  (NOTE:  “lithe” means “slim”, “graceful” or “flexible” - so it is possible that this COULD be an Archer version of Minotaur.  Slightly lesser chance that it could be a Militia Minotaur.  I highly doubt it’s a Goliath Minotaur, but that’s a possibility, as well.  However, it could also refer to a “lithograph” - which is a printing method that uses stone or metal to make copies of something - which could possibly indicate a “Choose Your -Taur” Event.  Yet another example of WHY WE NEED A Q&A each week, Devs).

(UPDATE:  A player named George Kavvas pointed out to me that LITHOS is Greek for Stone - so it is quite possible that this is the GOLIATH MINOTAUR after all, since Goliaths are Earth Troops.  Sorry for the confusion!).

TUESDAY, 14 APRIL to THURSDAY, 16 APRIL:  A Solo (Individual) Leaderboard Event called “Instruments of War”.  (NOTE:  The name of this Event MAY BE a typo by the Devs - “Instruments of War” is the name of THIS WEEK’S midweek Solo Leaderboard Event, too).

THURSDAY, 16 APRIL to MONDAY, 20 APRIL:  Another Alliance Leaderboard Event begins.  This one is called “PRIMORDIAL GOD OF THE SKY”.  (NOTE:  This Event will almost certainly be the premiere of the next Aztec “Invoke” God).

MONDAY, 20 APRIL to TUESDAY, 21 APRIL:  Another TITANS UNLEASHED Event begins (also known as a TITAN FUSION Event).  This one will feature Berserkers in the Temple, so we can infer that the new God Titan on 16 April is *PROBABLY* a Berserker.
