Haig (Live Ops Manager) and Dom (Game Artist) were our hosts for this week’s LiveStream.  Matt (Game Designer) was absent - Dom said he was “busy”.

EVENT DETAILS:

This week’s Event will be called BEAST OF THE STORM.  It will begin on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 (around 3:00 pm BST) and run until MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9.

Titan Details:

This week’s Event features the debut of STORMTAUR, the Lightning Infiltrator.  Similar to Athena and Zeus, STORMTAUR has the ability to Summon Omega Storm Maidens to the battlefield.  Omega Storm Maidens have an extra +80% DAMAGE, +30% CRITICAL and +30% SPEED, but are penalized with -20% RANGE compared to regular Storm Maidens.  In addition, STORMTAUR can Summon a total of four Omega Maidens.  (Interesting Side Note:  The very first Omega Summoner, Athena, made her debut in an Event on September 6, 2018 - exactly one year ago this Friday).

STORMTAUR’s SKILLS:

Slot 1:  +56% Titan Health, +56% Titan Lightning Resist, +1 Summon Omega Storm Maiden Spell

Slot 2:  Titan Offensive Tier III (+90% Titan Damage, +44% Titan Armor Piercing OR +44% Titan Critical)

Slot 3:  +88% Storm Maiden Armor Piercing, +1 Summon Omega Storm Maiden Spell, 

Slot 4:  Titan Offensive X Skill (+180% Titan Damage OR +88% Titan Armor Piercing)

Slot 5:  +44% Storm Maiden Critical, +2 Summon Omega Storm Maidens Spells

STORMTAUR will be available for 18k Souls.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

Question (Q) from a Player:  Can we get a Minotaur Event before Halloween?

Answer (A) from a Developer:  No, he won’t come back before Halloween.  (Note:  Both of the Devs on the Stream - Haig and Dom - stressed the word “before”, so it sounded almost like they were hinting that he may be coming back either on Halloween or sometime right after Halloween).  (Also:  Haig said Stormtaur would not be the last “Minotaur Titan” - he specifically said there would be an Ice Version at some point - so we will see at least one more “-taur based” Summoner in the future).

Q:  When is the Horde Summoning Titan coming?  Will it be Halloween?

A:  “Keep your eyes and ears open for that.  It’s on its way”.  “We can’t tell you exactly when it’s coming, but it’s on it’s way... and it is looking pretty spooky”.

Q:  “Could you include the Imperial Critical in the basic setting?  With Relics, currently one does not come to 100%”.  (Kind of a confusing question here - the Devs interpreted it to mean that it is impossible for Imperials to reach 100% Critical using currently available Relics).

A:  Uh, yeah.  We will have Matt take a look at that.

Q:  How about a Troop Button that only selects certain Troops?  Like a Goliath button, a Maiden button, etc.

A:  If you double tap the shield of a Troop, it will select only that particular Troop type.  (Note from SteelSpine:  I really like the suggestion made for having individual Troop buttons instead - I’m not sure if that would clog up the screen too much or not, but that would make things much easier and faster when Troops are bunched together, and you wouldn’t have to search for a Troop to select it.  Not sure why the Devs ignored the idea).

Q:  The Skeletons on Conquest need to be fixed.  Sometimes they just don’t die.

A:  We will leave that one for Matt.

Q:  Can we expect Calvarax this Halloween?

A:  Haig: “I’m sure we’ll see him at some point.  Yeah, it’s been a while”.  Dom:  “He might even be old news...”

Q:  How about a Titan button to quickly select your Titan during battle?

A:  Probably not.  The Titan is already pretty visible.  I think we’d do other buttons before we did that one.  (Note from SteelSpine:  Whaaa?!?  They ignored a suggestion about having other buttons earlier in the Stream.  Am I going crazy?)

Q:  Can we have a “Remove All Troops” button on the Troop Selection screen?

A:  Dom:  “I’m not sure where we’d put it”.  Haig:  “If you just tap the first Troop shown over and over again it will remove them”.  Both:  “I like the idea”.

Q:  When will Almarand return?

A:  I don’t have an exact date.  Maybe around Halloween - he is pretty spooky.

Q:  How about Poseidon?

A:  We don’t have a date for his return yet.

Q:  How about a “Lock” for Fusing or Forging?  So we don’t accidentally Fuse or Forge away something important?

A:  We generally try not to add more pop ups, but if that’s something a lot of people want we can look into it.  Please let us know.

Q:  Ascension Shards.  Will they ever come back?

A:  No, probably not.  We tried to think of some sort of a way we could bring back Ascension, but we couldn’t figure out how to work it into the current game.  (Note from SteelSpine:  Ascension was a feature from a long time ago - more than 2 years ago.  It was before my time, so to be honest I have no clue what they did.  Sorry, all).

Q:  Is there another Goliath Summoner coming?

A:  Haig:  “If you think about it, you may be able to work out if another Goliath Summoner is coming”.  (Note:  I wouldn’t read into this too much - it sounds like Haig was just alluding to a Goliath version of Minotaur coming eventually).

TEASERS and OTHER INFORMATION:

The winner of Round One of the “Design a Titan” Contest was announced today.  The winning design was “Baba Yaga”, drawn Talon Warlock.  (Note:  Pretty amazing drawing, in my opinion.  It’ll definitely make one awesome looking Titan.  Congrats!).

The Devs said they are looking into extending the end time for future Events “in order to offset some of the hacking and things like that”.  (Note from SteelSpine:  I mentioned this months ago in chat.  If an Event ends at 7:30 or 8:30 in the morning in London, that means either the DoT Staff isn’t in their office yet OR they are barely settling in for the day - which would make it very, very difficult for them to personally go into the logs and check for hackers during the verification period.  Really glad to see they are making this change.  Hopefully it will have a positive effect on detecting Event cheaters).

NEXT TWO WEEKS:

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 to WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11:  There will be another Mini Relic Leaderboard Event.  It will be Fire themed and will feature a new 4* Relic called the FIRE BRACELET (Devs did not provide the Stats), in addition to Doomfire, Orb Of War, Flaming Rune and Flame Volley.  It will also include a reskilled ILZAR, who will now have 2 Grenadier Offensive X Skills, 2 Goliath Defensive X Skills and one Spearmen Defensive X Skill.  Stormtaur, Minotaur and Oakentaur will provide a 1.3x Boost.  3* and 4* Infiltrators will provide a 1.1x Boost.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11:  A 24 Hour Mini-Event (probably Troopcraft, but it could be something else)

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12:  Another Leaderboard Event begins.  The Devs said this one will feature the return of DRAKOR, the Unak Fire Champion.  Drakor will have newly updated Skills.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16:  There will be an Infiltrator themed TITANS UNLEASHED EVENT (also known as a TITAN FUSION EVENT).  (Reminder:  During Titans Unleashed, ALL same-class to same-class Fusion provides the same big XP bonus.  The “theme” only affects which Titans are featured at the Temple).

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17:  There will be an Ice themed THEATERS OF WAR Event and an Ice themed Temple Takeover.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19: A 24 hour Mini-Event (probably Construction Frenzy, but it may be something else).

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20:  There will be a CONQUEST EVENT.  The Devs said it would be “really interesting”, and would feature a brand new Titan.  (Note from SteelSpine:  I *think* this will be the first time a Conquest Event has featured a new Titan, rather than a re-Skilled or reintroduced older Titan).
